Mrs. Tieman

Dear Parents and 5th Grade Students,

I hope that you have enjoyed your summer.  As we begin our school year together, I would like to express how thrilled I am to be returning to our building as one of the fifth grade teachers.  I look forward to helping the fifth grade students at our school meet their academic and personal goals throughout the school year.  Parents, together we will develop a partnership throughout this school year that will help your child to reach their full potential at Seven Hills Preparatory Academy.  It will be a pleasure to watch them grow academically and socially in the coming weeks, months, and years!

I would like to provide some brief information about myself.  I have been teaching for twenty-six years.  I have experience in all grade levels between 1st grade and 8th grade.   I live in Prior Lake with my husband Dave, and my three daughters Amber (23), Cassie (22), and Allyson (16).  We have lived in Minnesota for nearly fifteen years, and before Minnesota, we were in Michigan for six years.  My daughters keep our family very busy with all of their activities.  My daughter, Amber, graduated from Iowa State University last December.  She works as a Chemical Engineer with Dow Chemical Company in Texas. Cassie graduated from the University of MN in May. She is an Environmental Science Major with a Corporate Management focus.  She will be working in Senegal, Africa with the United States Peace Corps for the next two and a half years, focusing on forestry and sustainable farming. Ally is starting her 11th grade year at Prior Lake High School. Here’s to a great school year for your family and mine!

I can be reached throughout the school year at the following number and email address:  ktieman@shpamn.org  Phone# 952-426-6000 ext. 6050.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns at any point throughout the school year.  Again, I am looking forward to a great year with you and the 5th grade students.

 Sincerely yours,

 Mrs. Kerry Tieman
